While surfing the web I ran accross this post from www.attentiontargetshoppers.blogspotcom about Kroger store’s Mega Savings Event.

Kroger is currently having a Mega Savings event between August 16 and Sept. 2, 2009. You’ll receive a $5.00 instant savings when you buy 10 participating products. Are your bargain hunting wheels already turning? Mine are.
How it works: When you buy 10 participating brands (see list below) and use your Shopper Card at check out you instantly save $5. And there is no limit on the number of rewards per transaction! Look for the double yellow tags in-store!
Participating Products: AMP Energy, Aquafina, Betty Crocker Baking Mixes, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Cascadian Farms Cereals and Bars, Cap’n Crunch, Cheerios, Cheetos, Chex Mix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Dole Juices and Juice Drinks, Fiber One, Fritos, Gatorade, Golden Grahams, Green Giant, Hamburger Helper, Life , Lipton Tea, Nature Valley, Old El Paso, Pepsi family of 2 Liters, Pillsbury, Progresso, Propel, Quaker Instant Oatmeal, Quaker Chewy Bars, Starbucks, Sobe Life Water, Totino’s, Trix, Tropicana, Yoplait and MORE!

Make that money STRETCH!!! I’ll load up all the coupons on the e-coupon sites below. My objective is to have one coupon for every item in my cart. When coupled with a sale and now with the $5.00/10 qualifying items, I should do very well.
Many times you’ll find items on sale that you don’t really care for but that will make a great donation to a food bank, a family in need, etc. Also, don’t forget that you can start some holiday shopping early with some items like soups, condiments, Halloween candy etc.

I can not count the number of times I have found myself in need of an item but without a coupon available to help with the purchase price.
This is where signing up at your favorite products websites for newsletters or to be on their email list comes in very handy. Often times they will send you coupons via email or even allow to print the coupons off of their site after you are logged in.
Ex. Yesterday I ran out of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Fillipo Berio was on sale at Albertson’s I went to the Fillipo site and signed up and was able to score 2 $1.00 off coupons making the purchase price only. $2.99 a bottle (great for olive oil).
That is just one example where this pays off.

Okay so I think that CVS has a ton of good deals so you may see a lot of posts about this store on my blog. However, it is all in the spirit of saving you money so I hope you don’t get too sick of it.
Okay so I stopped by CVS today (typically go on Sundays) and I went to the pharmacy and asked for the Readyfill coupon booklet they were advertising on their site. And I have to say I was pretty excited when I looked at the coupons.
They have 2 coupons for $4.00 off a $20.00 purchase (remember use this before any other coupons so you can get a better deal) they also had some coupons for money off after purchasing vitamins, oralcare and some other items. All in all it is a great little book and I would suggest trying to get your hands on more than one.
This brings me to a tip about CVS:
Always look for clearance items at CVS this is where you can find some amazing deals. For example I bought some CREW hair products for my husband topay for 90% off the original price. Some CVS stores actually have clearance sections, this of course makes it much easier however if they don’t you can also walk the isles to find the deal.
For those of you who don’t know how to shop CVS or are looking for tips on other stores, I will be putting up a page with store info on it to help explain it all.

If you follow this link and take a short survey about their ReadyFill program you can then print off a $5 off $25 coupon for CVS.
Be advised even though it asks in your print preferences how many copies, it would be fraudulent to print this more than once on the same computer. If you take the survey on multiple computers then you could do one per system.
Also, while on the CVS site check out their coupon section…a lot of coupons for their store brand skin care. The coupon that I picked up here was the $1.00 off Frito Lay. I think this one will make a good deal out of the snack size bags.
